Christopher L. Nelson, M.D., is a native of Louisville, KY. He is board certified in the specialties of pain management and anesthesiology. His training began with undergraduate and medical school studies at the University of Kentucky, with residency training in anesthesiology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

His fellowship in pain management at Wake Forest University was completed under the mentorship and direction of Richard Rauck, M.D. who is well known and highly regarded internationally particularly in the realm of nerve pain disorders, most notably "RSD". He is gratis faculty at University of Louisville.

Shaun W. Nelson, PA-C 

Shaun W. Nelson is a native of Charleston, SC,  practicing as a Physician Assistant here in Louisville, KY.  She previously practiced at Piedmont Anesthesia & Pain Consultants in Winston-Salem, NC.  Shaun obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA in 1994. She worked as a Mental Health Counselor at the Institute of Psychiatry at the Medical University of SC before embarking across country to fulfill her desire to become a Physician Assistant.  She was accepted into the MEDEX Northwest Physician Assistant Training Program at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA and obtained a second degree—Bachelor of Clinical Health Sciences in Physician Assistant Studies.  Shaun is Board Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She is a Community Adjunct Faculty Member at the University of Kentucky PA Program.  She also serves as a Guest Lecturer at the Sullivan University PA  Shaun holds memberships with the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Kentucky Academy of Physician Assistants, and the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.

 

Kelsey C. Brown, PA-C

Kelsey attended Transylvania University in Lexington, KY where she completed her Bachelor of Arts in Biology.  She went on to attend the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY to receive her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies and Master of Science in Medical Sciences. Kelsey received honors on the Dean’s List, Phi Delta Epsilon Medical Fraternity. Kelsey also holds memberships with the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Kentucky Academy of Physician Assistants.

 Deborah J. Hart, PA-C

Debbie attended Marshall University in Huntington, WV for her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics She went on to the University Of Kentucky Lexington, KY for her  Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition as well as her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies where she achieved Magna Cum Laude, Dean’s List, Alpha Eta Society – National Honor Society for Allied Health Professions, and the Physician Assistant Studies Award for Clinical Excellence.
